Permanent exhibition of ceramics

The ceramist Elvira Aparicio Llovet donated an extraordinary collection of works that have been collected in a permanent exhibition at the Palace of the Marquises of Malferit.

Her technique is almost the same of that which was used in the eighteenth century. But her work is not a repeat of the past but a vindication of the same fruit of her hands, artistic talent and cultural background as an art historian, journalist and teacher.

CONTENT

THE BORJA FAMILY AND THEIR TIME
With this collection the Borja family histor is revindicated, which the artist considers battered by an exaggerated black legend written without taking into account the historical context in which they lived.

THE LITTLE PRINCE
The phrase best known of The Little Prince, “you only see well with the heart. What is essential is invisible to the eye” pervades the spirit of the pieces in this collection. Because to enjoy it we must involve our heart, since the essence of art, is -only apparently-invisible to the eye.
